American Horror Story Season 2 is All About Jessica Lange

Ready for a dose of "awesome," American Horror Story fans?  Entertainment Weekly confirmed Jessica Lange is returning to the FX show next season - something we sort of already knew.  Here's the kicker: Not only is she playing an entirely different character, but the series is going to revolve all around her new role.

That comes from Ryan Murphy, co-creator of AHS, himself.  Head inside to see what he had to say about this creative change.

Murphy - who runs the series with Brad Falchuk - told EW:

"We have designed the second season of American Horror Story completely around her character.  Last year Jessica came in with Connie Britton and Dylan McDermott. This will really be the Jessica Lange show so I'm very excited about it. We are designing this amazing new opposite of the Constance character for her. She and I have spoken about different things. She has a lot of ideas, and has a lot of input into her character. She told me some things she has always wanted to play as an actress. She's a great collaborator and a great friend."

In season one, Lange played an aging Southern belle named Constance.  She took home a Golden Globe for her turn on the show.  In season two, the story reportedly picks up on the East Coast and will reveal all new horrors. 

As much as I'd love to see Constance return, I'm eager to see Lange tear into another role.
