I like Delirium tremens, but maybe you should try the less popular and very underrated delirium nocturnum.

BTW I also like Piraat and Judas (not as tasty as the others mentioned but usually cheaper). Never tried Hoegaarden. But Duvel is by far my favourite.

It's really difficult to find in Madrid, but you shouldn't have any problem in Barna. It's a low-alcohol beer (around 2% or so), but very, very tasty. If you want to drink beer without getting drunk and avoiding those 0,0% shits, it's a really nice choice.

If they were made for children, they can't be good. 

No, seriously, I think that the actual problem with the British people is that their beers are awful (same level as loads of the Spanish ones) and therefore when they drink beer they get drunk so easy. Same thing with Japanese and their sake. It's not that strong, but they take a shot and they're drunk enough to nose-bleed.

That may be true regarding to british lagers, but their porters are pretty good. I find imperial porters particularly tasty.
